Chicks on Comics, since 2008

The cartoonist collective was born in August 2008 when Powerpaola and me met and decided we wanted to work on a project together. The initial intention was to gang up with feminist comic artists and to do something that would involve artists and readers from different countries.

The core project the collective has worked on is to publish comic panels online in ongoing succession. The authors post the panels in reaction to each other. Guest authors are invited to join.

The collective has made numerous exhibitions, publications and projects. Their activities are best followed through Instagram or Facebook.
