Lavender Cowboy, 2014
Four posters with selected illustrated verses of „Lavender Cowboy“. Originally a poem by Harlod Hersey in 1923, these verses have since then appeared in many different forms. Mostly as music, initially declared „Blue“ songs, banning them from radio for having suggestive lyrics. The lyrics have varied widely, lent to communicate the messages of almost opposite camps. For these posters, I picked verses and words from the poem to my own ends.
The posters were part of the exhibition „Rhapsodize“ at Other Nature in Berlin, Germany, 2014.
